WAVE ASSIGNMENTS:

To ensure the enjoyment & safety of all race participants, Southampton Race of Hope Covid Protocols will impact where you will position yourself in the starting line corral prior to the race's start. Each participant will be assigned a "wave", or starting line group of up to 50 runners and walkers. Your assigned race bib number will determine your Wave Assignment.

WAVE ASSIGNMENT CHANGES:

Any racer who signs up after online registration has closed will automatically be assigned to the last corral. If you arrive to the race late, please report to the final wave no matter your Wave Assignment. For the safety of all participants, any racer who reports with a pet or stroller must move to the back of the final corral no matter their previous Wave Assignment. Sorry, wave reassignments are not available no matter your pace.

RACE START PROCESS:

Each wave will contain a maximum of 50 physically distanced runners and walkers wearing cloth nose and mouth coverings. 6 ft. ground markers will be provided to aid in proper spacing. When the race begins, the first wave will launch and entire starting line corral will move forward to occupy the previous wave's space and ground distance markers. Every minute, a new wave of racers will be launched and begin their race. After your race has begun, you have the option of removing your face covering at the 30 yd. mark indicated by trash cans where you may dispose of your face covering.
